il Suono
il Suono means “sound” or “that sound” in Italian.
Beginning in 2020, Shizu Tanaka (Flute), Tae Koshidaka (Violin) and Sonoko Komatsu (Piano) created this trio ensemble. Through learning from the Bel Canto technique --- especially the breath and body connection --- the ensemble aims to maximize harmonic resonance.
Il Suono arranges various trio music from Baroque to Jazz in which they are known to create an orchestral-like sound with piano, violin and flute.
From 2025 the ensemble began a concert series highlighting regional characteristics in Japan, A Joint Concert with Soprano and Trio Ensemble. In June of 2025 they performed in a concert in Shibata City, Nigata and in August, they performed in Mito City, Ibaraki, where the musicians were well received.
In October and December of the same year the ensemble performed with Seiko Hatano in her soprano recital in Tokyo and Nara garnering high praise for their artistry.

Sayori Yoshida
Fairy Forest Festival
New York based dancer, Sayori Yoshida, moved to New York from Japan at age seven. Yoshida began ballet instruction at age six and studied ballet and tap under Michele Ribble in New York.
In 2014 she participated in SIBA Salzburg Ballet Academy in Austria. While there, Yoshida studied under former Hungary National Ballet Director, Ildikó Pongor. Later in Japan she studied with Michiyo Nakagawa, a Vaganova Method instructor.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree as an Independent Major in Dance at Bryn Mawr College. For her senior thesis she performed a new genre of dance, Hula Ballet, which is a harmonization of Hawaiian hula and classical ballet.
She performed in the Hawaiian artists’ concerts in Tokyo, such as HAPA (2017), Ha’aheo (2018) and Amy Hānaiali’i (2019) .
From 2023, she wrote an original story, Fairy Forest Festival and with it began a new stage entertainment combining Hula Ballet, classical music, illustrations and paintings. She continues to produce and appear as the main dancer for these unique performances. In 2025 she performed in soprano Seiko Hatano’s recital in Nara as a soloist.
